The Vehicular Homicide Team is a collection of felony-level prosecutors with additional training and experience handling serious crash investigations. The Team offers support for serious injury or fatal crash investigations, often beginning at the scene of the crime shortly after the crash. The Team follows vertical prosecution principles, where the initial DDA involved in response or assisting with warrants will also generally charge the case and handle the proceedings up through resolution with a plea or a jury trial. Throughout that time, prosecutors work closely with investigators and victims to pursue a just outcome in these tragic cases.
