The Elder Abuse/ At-risk unit seeks justice for vulnerable adult victims who are targeted due to their at-risk status. The individuals in this unit work closely with law enforcement to hold offenders accountable and make sure the victim is safe. We focus on physical crimes, financial crimes, and those involving neglect of an at-risk adult. The unit also does presentations throughout the community to keep people informed of the requirements of the mandatory reporting laws that are in effect for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and individuals 70 years of age and older.
